From Wednesday 22nd this week, all members can undergo their tag test exam and try to earn their 2nd tags!

These will be done in normal class times…..good luck!

Sun February 5th, 2012 - Fight Show Results – more winners from Winspers Kidderminster!

Last night, coaches Matt and Steve Winsper attended the ‘New Blood’ fight show in Weston Super Mare with three fighters from Winspers Martial Arts Centre to take part in a kickboxing event.

Ryan Gifford, Connor Porter and Euan Edwards all donned their gloves to represent the gym and all fought extremely well.

Ryan Gifford fought first and totally outclassed his opponent from start to finish. Ryan moved well, jabbed and set up his combinations well to win on points.

Connor, who helps out coaching the children’s classes, fought next, and after a relaxed first round, upped the tempo in the second, forcing his opponent to back out and quit.

Euan, who was making his debut, had his opponent pull out at the last second, so fought a last minute replacement who was 7kgs heavier, but this didn’t stop a great spirited performance from Euan, who had to settle for a draw after three tough rounds of action.

Well done, lads!

Wed February 1st, 2012 - Welcome to Joe ‘Jitsu’ Warmington – new MMA coach

A big warm welcome to Joe ‘Jitsu’ Warmington, who along with James Winsper, is Winspers Martial Arts Centre’s MMA coach.

He taught his first class last night and it was a great success, with everyone learning from Joe’s 20 years of Martial Arts experience.
